On 09 October 2009, I spotted a Kit Kat Bites ad inside the LRT 1 coach in the female section. I am personally amused and amazed with the creativity of this type of ads, which combine marketing and practicality at the same time.

For the past month, whenever I go to Manila for my trek to Instituto Cervantes, I usually ride on the first coach of the LRT 2 or the purple line so that when I alight at the last station, Recto, I am very near the stairs going down to the exit. So, I’m usually within a few feet of the door leading to the interiors of the driver’s cabin.

On 08 October 2009, I took a MRT from the Cubao - Araneta Center station to the Shaw Blvd. station. However, after about a two hour meeting, I went back to the MRT station only to find out that due to a transformer problem by Meralco, the MRT has been halted.

My sister and I said our goodbyes as she alighted from a shared cab. However, before she had even closed the door, the driver took off. Concerned over the driver’s aggressive behavior, I received a SMS from her just a few minutes after she alighted.

My friend, Radar11, was barely ten steps away from where she alighted from the Recto jeep when she felt that something was wrong. She swung her backpack to the front and found the zipper open.
A part of her marveled at the swiftness of the pickpocket, and, of course, she was also horrified to find that she has been the victim of a crime.
