I Grabbed a Female Stranger by the Hip and Shoulder

No, I have not suddenly turned into a pervert.
A young mother, a grandmother and two very young children were walking ahead of me. We were all going towards the Ali Mall escalator that led to the street in front of Shoemart Cubao.
As the mom and the two kids stepped onto the escalator, the lola was left behind, trying to hold onto her grandchild’s hand, while leaning forward dangerously. I hurried to block her fall, if necessary, by going abreast of her.
Good thing she finally let go, which allowed her to straighten up from her bent over position, but, she suddenly took a wobbly step onto the gliding escalator.
Since she was off-balance, the grandmother swayed as if she was going to keel over, so, from behind, I clamped my hand on her shoulder and pelvic bone to prevent her from tumbling forward.
Of course, my action might have merited a slap or a verbal attack, but, thankfully, when we were both on the street level and off the escalator, the lady turned back and gave me a small smile.
