Greenbelt 5 and CCP Security Guards Call for a Taxi

Greenbelt 5 Security Guard Greenbelt 5 in Makati is still a mystery to me, so I had no idea where I could get a cab. However, with the help of a restaurant waitress and a security guard stationed at one of the entrances, I was directed to a driveway that allowed cars, but, there was no waiting line of cabs in sight.

In confusion, I asked the uniformed guard whether I had to go down to the street level to hail a cab, at which point he informed me that he can get one for me, and asked for my destination.

True enough, he called on the radio and started walking down the driveway. He was barely halfway along when he sighted an oncoming taxi. He raised his arm to signal it. The driver turned into the driveway, and, thankfully, was all too willing to bring me to the Cultural Center of the Philippines

CCP Security Guard After watching the Trilohiyang Dinuguan of Virgin Labfest 5, I went out through the Little Theater entrance of the CCP. Surprisingly, the CCP security guard asked whether I needed a taxi. When I said yes, he went about getting one for me.

This has never happened to me before with the CCP security. I’m not too sure if this is an isolated situation on 25 June 2009 or something I can look forward to on a regular basis. For the moment, I’ll assume it’s a pleasant exception.

The fact that I eventually rode the orange jeep to get to the LRT Vito Cruz station does not detract from the fact that the CCP guard’s unexpected gesture was an appreciated one, as well as the Greenbelt 5 security guard’s earlier action.
