MRT Taft — EDSA Station Provides Special Entrance for Stored Value Cardholders

MRT Stored Value Card

Coming from the LRT or Light Rail Transit station, I went through the walkway leading towards the MRT Taft — EDSA station instead of going through the mall attached to the MRT, which led me to see a sign urging the elderly, the physically handicapped, women, children and stored value cardholders to go in a certain direction.

I followed the arrows and saw that there were a couple of turnstiles available for the persons falling into the categories enumerated. Those who still had to buy Metro Rail Transit or MRT cards were led in the opposite direction from the special entrance. This access will most probably be very useful during rush hours when there’s a multitude of people trying to get into the MRT Taft — EDSA station.

I do believe that the MRT Taft — EDSA station is the only one offering such a service for stored value cardholders.
