The first Philippine solar powered car was on display at the SM Megamall Building A Ground Floor recently. Named SINAG (rays of the sun), the solar powered car has already proven its mettle by participating in a “3,000km race against 40 other entries from around the world” in Australia.
Remarkably, the “SINAG Solar Car was proudly designed and built from scratch in a record time of less than a year by students from De La Salle University - Manila.”
