What to Wear on Opening Night of Master Class While Riding a Bus

Hidden Under a Coat The dress that I will choose to wear to the opening night of Philippine Opera Company’s production of Master Class on 17 October 2008 at 8pm at the RCBC Theater in Makati must be worn under a long black coat.

Short Enough The dress must be short enough so that it doesn’t drag along the dusty pavements while I walk along Ayala and EDSA.

Nothing That Can Get Caught on the Bus The dress shouldn’t have any hanging adornments that can get caught on the odd corners of the bus.

Shoes I Can Walk In Since there’s walking involved, I must have shoes that I can walk in. If I decide to wear heels, they definitely have to be brought in an extra packet.

Wrap or Shawl I should also bring an extra wrap or shawl that I can place across my knees while riding the bus, then across the shoulders while watching the play with Cherie Gil as Maria Callas.

Light Makeup To give tribute to Maria Callas, her “look” of strong eyeliner and lipstick can be copied to a certain degree.

Maybe I should ride a taxi? A taxi back and forth would be a much better choice, but there’s a price difference of 300% with regards to the fare. Bus, it is, with a FX and a tricycle thrown in.
