Greenbelt 5 and CCP Security Guards Call for a Taxi

Greenbelt 5 Security Guard Greenbelt 5 in Makati is still a mystery to me, so I had no idea where I could get a cab. However, with the help of a restaurant waitress and a security guard stationed at one of the entrances, I was directed to a driveway that allowed cars, but, there was no waiting line of cabs in sight.

In confusion, I asked the uniformed guard whether I had to go down to the street level to hail a cab, at which point he informed me that he can get one for me, and asked for my destination.

True enough, he called on the radio and started walking down the driveway. He was barely halfway along when he sighted an oncoming taxi. He raised his arm to signal it. The driver turned into the driveway, and, thankfully, was all too willing to bring me to the Cultural Center of the Philippines

For me, there is a verbal contract that must be agreed on, such as the inquiry whether a certain destination is acceptable to the taxi driver, and the passenger and the driver’s mutual agreement to proceed from the short conversation.

FREE MRT Rides on 2009 Philippine Independence Day

When I attempted to exit the Araneta Center - Cubao MRT station on 12 June 2009, all the turnstiles had the red X glinting from its glass windows, indicating that none can be used to exit.

And then, to my consternation, the MRT guard announced that all the MRT rides are free, and that everyone should just pass through.

Irritated Bus Passenger Makes A Face at Me

I don’t like being squeezed in between two passengers in the three seater section of the bus. And I don’t like having to squeeze past other passengers on the way to the aisle if I’m seated beside the window. So, I always make sure I’m on the aisle seat even if it means being continuously bumped by alighting and boarding bus passengers.
